One wall of oak carries books to the ceiling; a clerestory above it drags light across the spines through the day and drops it onto a single communal table. There is no other furniture worth naming, and in a room of this size that turns out to be enough.

Note
The feature caught the light and missed the shelf. That wall is a structural element, braced back to the party wall, which is why it could go full height in a room this narrow. We would rather be published for the construction than the atmosphere, but we understand the magazine.
