Qeytarieh 08 Residence
The building steps back as it climbs, and the effect from the street is of a wall gradually giving ground. Each terrace is a full structural bay, deep enough for a table and four chairs, and the brick above it is laid to throw a moving shadow across the face.

Note
The piece understood the section, which is the part of this building that took the longest. It was written from the drawings as much as the photographs, and that is rare. We would have liked a line about the masons who set the bond, since the facade is theirs as much as ours.
